Born and
lived in Lyons, New York for most of his life, 76 years old, retired self
employed Electrician Contractor for over 40 years. Wood working has always been
interesting and fascinating to me even as a child when carpenters came to
our house to repair or do new
installations. I always found a hammer, some wood and nails to produce
something and many times un recognizable item. As I grew older, reading books
and having my own tools I was able to do more elementary and useful projects.
Soon I was able to build and fully
equip a very nice shop in my home basement not with out some
disapproval and input from my Loving wife Mary. After I retired and some medical
setbacks I was able to spend more time in the shop and became more serious in
my projects. I do not consider myself a cabinet maker or a professional, just a
serious woodworker enjoying a wonderful hobby. I am mostly self taught. Of all
the avenues in woodworking I find wood turning or working with
a lathe the most rewarding and satisfying, I have some formal training in
wood turning.
